January 8 – February 6: St. Paul Winter Carnival

January 18-23: World Snow Sculpting Championship

January 20 -21: Joffrey Ballet at Northrup Center

January 28: Hockey Day Minnesota
This year the local games will be played in White Bear Township’s Polar Lakes Park. Watch them live or, plan a TV watch party with friends and family.
February 9-12: The Music of Harry Potter

February 11: Wayzata Chilly Open
Three 9-hole courses plowed out on Lake Minnetonka. Over 1,800 golfers come from all over with their clubs and hockey sticks to putt with tennis balls around Wayzata Bay. Learn more here.

Tours and Museums:
The interior of the St. Paul Cathedral is free and open to the public whenever church isn’t in session. Nearby, in St. Paul’s Summit Hill neighborhood, the massive gilded age mansion of James J. Hill is open for tours all winter.
Tour one of Minneapolis’s many theaters, such as the Orpheum Theatre, Pantages Theatre, or State Theatre. You can find more info at HennepinTheatreTrust.org.
Want to travel the globe in a day? MIA, or Minneapolis Institute of Art, is the leading museum in fine and decorative art from six continents. Admittance to MIA is always free and includes 5,000 years of world history from Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Snow Tubing: The hills at Wirth Park are fun for all ages! Mother Nature provides the snow, and the park offers the innertubes.
